4. Thalaivi
Featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, Thalaivi biopic is based on the life of a late politician and actress J. Jayalalithaa who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
5. Manekshaw
Based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 who was affectionately called Sam Bahadur and was the principal Indian Army official to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal, the movie stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.
6. Shabaash Mithu
Another sports biopic - in light of the motivating story of cricketer Mithali Raj, one of the best batswomen and the highest run-scorer in women's international cricket - is underway. The movie featuring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role.
7. Saina
Based on the biography of expert Badminton player Saina Nehwal, the famous actor Parineeti Chopra in the nominal role. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was roped in to assume the part. However, she was soon replaced.
